My state just got the Powerball. I've played before, but always when visiting somewhere else. What do you think is a good weekly amount to spend on the lottery? I've read that you have a easier chance of getting struck by lightening than winning the lottery, but my philosophy is you can't win if you don't play :-) |

My roomate religiously buys one ticket per week with the same numbers. Chinook winds casino in Oregon just got new powerball slots, tried them out yesterday if fact, I lost 60 bux there lol, but I did win $570 on a Donald Trump penny machine |

I always do the quick pick because I have read that you actually have a better chance with that, but I might start picking some of my own numbers. I guess I can afford one or two tickets a week. I read somewhere about an older man who spent $200 a week on lottery tickets! He won twice - like $35,000 or something, but for $200 a week, I would want the big bucks! |

How can the odds change just because a number is picked by the machine? That doesn't sound like correct math. Perhaps statistically it's correct, but I doubt the odds are any better / or change. |

I think the odds that PokerBaby was talking about aren't the odds of winning actually.. I believe more people have actually won using the quick pick method then with their own numbers. |
