The proposal for a $662 million casino development that would straddle the Edwardsville and Bonner Springs city line is officially set for the state’s consideration. On Monday, the Bonner Springs City Council approved the planning and zoning application from the Las Vegas-based Golden Gaming Inc., the company said in a release Tuesday. The approval clears the way for the shops and a Tom Watson golf course that would be in Bonner Springs south of Interstate 70 near 110th Street. Last week, Edwardsville endorsed the resort casino and hotel that would anchor the development. The state can choose only one casino proposal for Wyandotte County. Three proposed for Kansas City, Kan., advanced last week after receiving endorsements from the Unified Board of Commissioners. kansascity.com
