OK. Here I am again asking newbie questions. I usually do not have problems uploading photos, etc to anything,,but I'll be darned if I can get a pic to load for my avatar! I'm logged in, I was in user cp, I went to avatar, I checked the thing saying I want to use a custom avatar, I clicked browse, I went to my file and chose the pic I wanted, told it to open, has address of where pic is located in the spot next to browse, but it isn't there. What the heck is this old woman doing wrong? Please someone more computer smart than me, help! (it won't be a far reach to be more computer savy than me I searched for an answer, but didn't find one. Is the answer on the forum someplace? If so, just direct me to it and I'll not bother anyone with this small problem. Thanks in advance to whomever!

So when the browse window is open do you see your files? then do you navigate to the image you want and you can find it on your computer?

If thats what it is, keep looking on your computer, you must have misplaced the file. If it is something else, can you email me the image? I can then upload it for you - or if you have a web link, I can get the file from there, too.

LOL, I like them all, but I have to say I get curious all the time what everyone looks like. I am therefore activating the "Real Face" avatar rule. LOL, in which if you PM me after uploading your REAL face, (not required) , but for the brave and courageous who are'nt afraid to let their real identies be known, I'll toss in 300 points on top of the 100 you get automatically for uploading an avatar.

One other thing... for those looking at this thread in order to redeem any of your points you earn, you MUST have made at least 5 posts somewhere in the forums.

Well, I took you up on it, and uploaded my real face for my avatar (and for the extra 300 points!), but it didn't turn out so well!
It's kinda blurry or something not right with it anyway, .probably something to do with when I had to resize it...
but anyway, it was all I had for now, so .... there ya go!

It took me a few attempts at loading my avatar before I realized this. Maybe its because I'm using Firefox I'm not sure, but if you try to load an avatar that is either too big, or wrong dimensions, it loads a somewhat "blank" page after you click "edit avatar", the blank page has no words on it except for the sidelines and links, however if you scroll down and try to highlight the area right down at the bottom some words will appear, the reason for the highlight is because the words are actually either the same or very near the color of the background. The words will let you know what you are doing wrong.
