Accessing your Private Mailbox:
You must be a registered user to access the PM system and you must be logged in. To access your private mailbox, you hit the UserCP (User Control Panel) link in the upper right hand part of the screen. When you arrive in the UserCP you will see immediately whether or not there are any unread "new" messages for you. To continue accessing your mailbox, you would then select the "Mailbox" button from the Control Panel menu on the left *you can see it there right now.

Viewing and Replying to PMs:
It's easy to view your messages. Simply click on the subject of the message you wish to view. The message will appear.

Replying is just as easy with our quick-reply box. BBCodes work in the quick-reply box, too. Simply enter your message and click "submit" - alternatively, click the "reply" button to get the full message editor.

Managing your PM Box:

If you are following the F.A.Q. in order, you are now looking at a list of your stored messages. You can click the button that says "Sent Box" and view old messaage you sent to others.

To delete messages simply click the checkbox on the far right of the message in the column that says "select" - then down at the bottom of the inbox you will see a drop down menu that allows you to delete the messages. Alternatively you could mark the selected messages to "read" or "unread"

It's a good idea to keep your inbox clean. While we have not imposed a message quote yet we may have to if people don't manage their own mailboxes.

Sending Private Messages:
Simply select "New Message" from the PM Menu. A new screen will open with a textarea for you to type your message. BBCodes and smilies work here and there is a small menu to help you understand them.

Buddy Management:
Add any other member as your buddy and the system will alert you when they are online. You can do this from the UserCP (upper right hand corner of the website). Click UserCP and then "Buddy List" - once you add your first buddy the list will appear. Click "Add Buddy" to get started. The software will walk you through adding your buddies.

It's even easier to delete a buddy. Simply click "Remove" next to the buddy you want to delete from your list and you're done.
