Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel, located near Murphy, North Carolina opened on September 28, 2015. The property features a 300-room hotel with luxury kings and queens with all the amenities.

The 60,000 square foot casino floor features over 1,000 slots and video poker machines, offering a mix of old favorites and cutting-edge new-to-market games. Table players will have around 70 felts to choose from including blackjack, roulette, craps, Three Card Poker, and Mississippi Stud tables. The casino's sportsbook offers regular and premium seating, in-person windows, betting kiosks, and bar-top gaming.

does anyone remember the golf oriented slots called tee time? They were popular in the 90's at tunica Mississippi , and were a lot of fun to play. When you get 3 red sevens on payline with the third seven having a golfball in the center, you got to pick a golfer to tee off and the ball would go in one of many holes with different pay amounts. It would be nice to see those again!!

My wife has asthma and we like to visit casinos that she can play at without smoking. a good designated area of non smoking is the future, I hope Harrah's sees this. I know in New Orleans they do!

I think having a separate portion of the gaming floor for non smokers would be nice but at the same time those whom chew or smoke need their space without someone looking hard at them after all we are all there to enjoy the day and hope we win some cash. Face facts there are many whom do not smoke but chew or dip a tobacco product that emits no smoke nor anything to interfere with other players. there is some no tobacco areas in the Casino in Cherokee. it or the signs should read non smokers period.

Hello. Thank you for inquiring. As you may know, tribal gaming casinos are not bound by the restaurant and bar law banning smoking with few exceptions. By all indications, including a quote found by GM Lumpy Lambert, River Valley will be a smoking facility and may or may not have a nonsmoking area. We hope this information was helpful.

HI, thank you for stopping in. We had it on good authority they might do a "pop-up" casino for late 2014 but it didn't happen. They haven't announced an exact opening date yet, but it should be some time this summer. According to company and tribal statements everything is "on schedule".
