Harrah’s Louisiana Downs in Bossier City offers visitors a spacious facility featuring world-class horse racing and a casino with 1,300 slot machines. There is also 20,000 square feet of meeting space ready to accommodate anything from a small wedding or company party to a meeting with 1,200 guests. The racetrack is a sight to behold and the dining and entertainment options offer lavish comforts.

The racetrack opened on 350 acres of grounds to a cheering crowd of 15,000 fans in 1974 and the rest of the area still looks at Harrah’s Louisiana Downs as the grandfather of wagering in this growing area. Visitors to the track or casino have great choices for dining during racing season, and there is some shopping - but just like with concert entertainment, most will visit Horseshoe Bossier City for big-name concerts, dining and shopping on the new Louisiana Boardwalk and still be able to use their Rewards Card for discounts.

Harrah's Louisiana Downs Poker Room

The nearby Horseshoe - Bossier City has a spacious, 12-table poker room that spreads both NL, limit hold'em and pot limit Omaha.  The NL consists mostly of 1/3 $300 max buy-in and 2/5 $300 max buy-in.  The 'Shoe has a house rule which lets players buy-in for up to 50% of the chips held by the chip leader at the table.

The wait list is automated; players can call up to 2 hours ahead to get on the list for their desired game.  Weekend wait times can be a hour or more for NL games; call ahead!

Tables and chairs (fixed leg) are in excellent shape with auto-shufflers and drink holders on all the tables.  Food and drink service is available table-side.  Special mention to chicken tenders, 'tater logs and club sandwich.

The Horseshoe offers jackpots, splash pots and other giveaways.  Players are also comped on their Total Rewards card at a rate of $1/hour.  Please see the link at the top-right of the page under items of interest for full details on each giveaway as well as the weekly tournament information.

Fuddruckers is not only famous for their signature world class hamburgers, they also serve a wide selection of mouth-watering entrees sure to satisfied your hunger craves. You can even order a customized burger, choosing from a number of meats along with different toppings, or go for a Dogzilla hot dog, maybe try a Tricked Out Nachos, or dive into their zesty Bacon Cheddar Burger. Whatever you opt for, it all tastes great, especially paired with one of their rich and expertly made malts or shakes. Yum!

This upscale restaurant serves great regional dishes as well as traditional fare that's the rave of both locals and visitors. Guests wanting to relax for the entire day while taking in the races generally make reservations in advance, with minimum drink and food orders required.
