Very Brief History

Sands Macau opened in May 2004.  They hired a good set-up team, mainly executives and managers with many years of previous experience in the land-based and ship-based casinos of Malaysia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.  They were familiar with Asian games, Asian practices, Asian play, and knew how to find and train good Asian staff.

They went with an open-plan interior design suited to the Asian clientele. They were successful from opening day and never looked back. All construction bonds were paid off by May 2005. Most of the original employees have been rewarded with multiple promotions, and managers have seen the value of their stock-options double or more.

In 2006, the casino completed an expansion increasing the casino from 165,000 sq. ft. to 229,000 sq. ft. The casino now contains around 740 table games.  This was the largest casino in the world until Las Vegas Sands opened the Venetian Macao on the Cotai Strip.

I have never seen anyone win at slot machines there .never. I stayed for 10 hours playing but only lost lost lost. Also the cashiers are very impolite and there are no service at all , all drinks must be shouted loud to get someone give you a glass of water or any other diet drink. I guess Macau service does not know what is DIET PEPSI OR DIET DRINKS> Very bad experience and bad service and no 24 hours restaurants if you play and gamble and want to eat something.

Gaming at Sands Macao

Sands Macao has one of the largest gaming floors in Macau (and the world) - it is multiple levels and is in a rectangular layout.  Food and dining is up (or down) a level depending on what you want to eat.  There is live entertainment on the bar stage on the main casino floor, and many gamblers have a hard time keeping their eyes on the machines and not the stage.

There are literally thousands of the lastest slot machines - with high and low limit games (even penny slots) here and that is in addition to over 700 table games.
