Update: Stratosphere Casino Hotel, owner and operator, Golden Entertainment Inc., will reportedly rename the Las Vegas property - The STRAT Hotel, Casino and Skypod, as part of its $140 million upgrade of the iconic resort.

Located at 2000 South Las Vegas Boulevard for more than two decades, it’s hard to miss the Stratosphere Casino in Las Vegas. It’s the huge Space Needle-like structure that pierces the Las Vegas skyline. You can see it from anywhere in the city. It’s so large that many have used it as a navigational tool. The Stratosphere Tower stands at 1,149 feet tall, which makes it the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States, and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River.

The Tower features observations decks, a lounge, a great restaurant and meeting spaces. Getting to the top of the Stratosphere takes under 30 seconds. The elevators move at a rate of 1,800 feet per minute—that’s three floors per second. Every night a spectacular lighting show takes place and it’s visible from anywhere in Las Vegas.

The Top of the World is a favorite spot to eat at the Stratosphere. This award-winning restaurant is located around 800 feet above Las Vegas. The restaurant actually moves while you are eating, which gives you an outstanding panoramic view of Las Vegas. It takes the Top of the World one hour and twenty minutes for a full revolution. It’s recommended that you go to eat there at nighttime. The view is something you will take home with you and remember for years to come.

Meeting & Event Facilities

Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower offers meeting facilities for small and mid-sized groups and features a variety of Vegas meeting venues to accommodate functions ranging from 20 to 2,000 guests. There is approximately 25,000 square feet of function space offered in a variety of one-of-a-kind venues, including the 24th floor of the hotel, the 103rd and 104th floors. The Theater also offers a great option for meetings, luncheons and even awards presentations with dinner and dancing, followed by a nightcap at the end of the night on the Observation Deck. Also available is a full audio visual department.
