Bellagio Las Vegas Review

The Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is a pinnacle of the style and elegance that one looking for the finer things in life would expect. At nighttime, the lighted fountains add a degree of awe and elegance. Even if you are not staying at the Bellagio, take a cab or walk over to experience the fountain show. It will leave you breathless as you experience one of the most amazing water displays in the city—and perhaps the world. In 2004, the Bellagio expanded to cater to more tourists. They added almost 1,000 new hotel rooms and many new features. If you are looking for a touch of elegance with your Las Vegas vacation, consider staying at the Bellagio.

Gaming at the Bellagio features over 2,300 reel, video reel and video poker games and slot tournaments with prizes ranging from $100,000 to over $2 million, a high-limit slots room, and 135 or so table games featuring all the favorites. The Bellagio poker room is one of the stops on the World Poker Tour offering 7000 square feet with 40 tables and two high limit areas. The poker room is smoke-free and offers 24-hour dining beside the tables. Complimentary beverages, state of the art sound system, 19 high-resolution monitors, safe deposit boxes and a full-service cashier cage add to your experience. Artwork from world renowned artists grace the walls featuring past World Poker Events.

Unless you have been living in a cave, you have probably heard about the Cirque Du Soleil shows in Las Vegas. There are various versions of the Cirque Du Soleil in Las Vegas and the Bellagio Casino has “O”, which features the magic of theater. “O” Cirque Du Soleil features everything from small theater performances to opera. With the exception of Monday and Tuesday, the show performs twice nightly. Tickets for “O” start at $99 and it’s recommend that you reserve your seats early, as this is a highly popular Las Vegas show.

Looking to take a break and find some inner peace? Look no further than the botanical garden at the Bellagio. Your eyes will light up in amazement from the multitude of colors the scenery provides. Your senses will delight in the fragrances from the plethora of flowers. The botanical garden in the Bellagio Casino is a hidden gem and something you want to take some time out for. Don’t forget to bring your camera—pictures are allowed. One reason why people fall in love with Las Vegas is because of the wide variety of attractions. The botanical gardens at the Bellagio provide yet another type of enjoyable diversion in this great city.

Poker at Bellagio Las Vegas

Bellagio Poker Room

The Bellagio 40-table, smoke-free poker room is one of the finest poker rooms in the world.  The service, game selection (mid-stakes and above), amenities and setting are all first-rate--there's a reason why most regular players consider the Bellagio their favorite place to play.  Unfortunately, because it's so popular, wait times can be a bit long even mid-week--it's not uncommon to wait up to an hour on weekends and evenings for some games.  That said, if you're a poker player, you need to put the Bellagio on your "must play" list when visiting Las Vegas. The poker room also includes two high-limit areas.

The room spreads a variety of games (mid-stakes and above), including stud and Omaha daily.  Note to novices:  the smallest limit game is $4/8 and lowest buy-in NL game is $200.  In addition, there are daily tournaments (2p; see the schedule under Items of Interest for more info) and two major WPT events each year (the Five Diamond Classic in December and the WPT World Championship in April).

Expect to find better players here.  There are tourists and recreational players, of course, but it's not uncommon to find 2-3 local pros at the juicier tables.  The biggest game in town takes place in Bobby's Room, a private room off to the back.  Look for Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harmon & Co. playing at all hours of the day and night.

The chairs, tables and other amenities are all high-end and the service is top-notch.  The dealers are all highly efficient and professional, the floor staff courteous and knowledgeable and the wait staff friendly and responsive.  There's a poker room rate, but you'll need to call ahead and play at least 6 hours to qualify.

If you're a staff member or regular patron and would like to submit comments, photos or other info for inclusion here, please email us at marketing@worldcasinodirectory.com.
