Galaxy Entertainment together with Leisure and Resorts World Corp have signed a provisional license with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation regulator to construct a $500 million integrated resort on a 23-hectaire property located on Boracay island in Malay, Philippines.
The establishment is required to have an STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) and a water treatment facility so as to preserve the environment by avoiding wastewater being dumped to the sea.
Construction of the casino will take 3 years with construction works starting in 2019 and will generate hundreds of jobs.
