The Boulder Station Casino is located well off the Las Vegas Strip. It’s more of a local’s casino. If you wanted to visit downtown Las Vegas or the Las Vegas Strip, you will need to take a taxi, bus or drive there. The hotel part of Boulder Station features 300 pleasant rooms. Even the local’s oriented
casinos in Las Vegas have plenty of nice rooms available. Boulder Station also features five great restaurants and plenty of gaming action.
Many people opt to stay at a local’s oriented casino, because of the warmth. Boulder Station is not small by any means, but it does have a more one-on-one feeling than the big tourist casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. However, if you stay at Boulder Station, there’s not too much else in the area as far as entertainment goes. You will need to commute to see other attractions. Boulder Station does feature a nice movie theatre and a Kids Quest, so it is somewhat family friendly.
The entertainment is decent. You won’t find any nationally known type of shows like you might from a major casino. The Boulder Station features more of the Vegas lounge type of shows. They do feature bands that are no longer in the limelight, but that you probably know of. For example, they have shows lined up for Quiet Riot, Toto, Arrested Development, Diamond Rio, The Commitments and so forth. The shows allow kids if they are accompanied by an adult. Should you visit the Boulder Station, the first thing to do is sign up for a Boarding Pass card. It can save you money at the Buffet and you will earn points if you play.

Location. The Boulder Station Hotel and Casino is located in Las Vegas, Nev., adjacent to the Boulder Strip. The hotel stands four miles from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Convention Center is positioned less than five miles away, while the famous Las Vegas Strip is six miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features. This hotel offers dining options that include the Broiler, which features fresh fish, live Maine lobster and prime grade steaks. Guadalajara Bar & Grille offers traditional Mexican cuisine. The Feast Buffet is an all you can eat venue. The 24 hour Boulder Café serves American dishes. The Boulder Station Hotel and Casino features a 90,000 square foot casino with 2,900 slot and video poker machines, a 600 seat live bingo site, and a race and sports book furnished with 18 televisions. The Railhead showroom hosts national and international musicians, performers and boxers. The hotel provides an 11 screen movie theater complex, a game arcade, shops and a beauty salon.
