Cactus Pete's Resort Casino is located just across the Idaho border in Jackpot, Nevada. It is generally accepted that when Cactus Pete Piersanti moved his slot machine operations across the border when gambling became illegal in Idaho in 1954, the town was founded. Now owned by Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc., this Ameristar casino and hotel has only improved over time. Visitors will find a 26,000 square foot casino floor with a race and sports book, keno lounge, poker room, 22 table games and 665 slots and video poker machines.

The  full service hotel has 296 well accoutered rooms and suites, an Olympic size pool with saunas and Jacuzzis, four eateries including an upscale steakhouse,  two concert venues, 3,740 square-feet of meeting, banquet, and event space, and a full featured desert-oasis RV park with all of the amenities.
