The Concord Planning Board approved a proposal on Jan.  18, 2023, for the construction of a 45,000-square-foot casino and hotel. A company called Big Step, LLC, led by former New Hampshire senator and Concord businessman Andy Sanborn, has proposed a charitable casino with table games, slots and a poker room. Other amenities will reportedly include a hotel, restaurant, and parking lot at 7 Break O Day Drive in the Gateway Performance District in Concord, New Hampshire. The proposal is to build what they're calling "Imagine Casino" in two phases, starting with a 26,000 sq ft gaming hall with 634 seats and an 8,500 sq ft restaurant and brew pub able to accommodate up to 150 diners. The hotel and conference center would follow in the second phase of the development. 

If all goes according to plan and necessary approvals are obtained, doors for the casino could open in 18 months.
