Green Valley Ranch Casino
The Green Valley Ranch is a resort, spa and casino located in Green Valley, which is basically a suburb of Las Vegas. It’s technically minutes from the Strip—as it everything it seems—but it can take 15-20 minutes with traffic. Many casinos offer shuttle services to and from the Strip, so make sure you ask about that—it can save on cab fares. The Green Valley Ranch is very elegant. It is a mix between a local’s casino and a tourist casino. While many locals play there, people from all over the country fly in to stay at the Green Valley Ranch.
The Green Valley Ranch has very nice rooms and they start at just $129 nightly. The main difference between a major tourist casino and a local casino (or resort) is the feel. Green Valley Ranch is smaller and has a more personal feel to it. They pay attention to details and the atmosphere is bound to win you over. In fact, many revisiting tourists have given up on the Las Vegas Strip as a place to stay and prefer places like the Green Valley Ranch instead. One visit and you will see why.
Dining at the Green Valley Ranch is a pleasurable experience. They have the well-known quick food favorites including Villa Pizza, Panda Express and Panda Express, along with signature restaurants and a buffet. The Feast Around the World Buffet is absolutely amazing. It’s billed as an “All you can eat extravaganza of culinary delights.” The Feast Around the World buffet features American, Mongolian, Chinese, Italian and other international specialties along with six cooking stations—live chefs cooking for you. If staying on the Las Vegas Strip or Downtown is out for you, give the Green Valley Ranch a look. It is definitely a nice resort to visit.

Location. Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa of Henderson, Nev., is located eight miles from the Las Vegas Strip. The hotel is six and one half miles from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, seven miles from Dolphin Habitat, and seven and one half miles from and the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Hotel Features. Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa features Argentinean style architecture, hand painted ceiling beams, tapestries, iron chandeliers and genuine Peruvian antiques. The hotel, which serves complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby each morning, contains seven restaurants, three bars, one 24 hour coffee shop and one food court. Fadó Irish Pub serves draft beers, fish and chips, potato pancakes and appetizers. The pub, open for lunch and dinner, contains authentic pub furnishings and plays Irish music. Il Fornaio, a semi formal Italian restaurant, serves traditional Italian pasta and risotto dishes, salads, and wine for lunch and dinner. China Spice, an Asian restaurant with subdued lighting and wooden tables, serves traditional Chinese cuisine for dinner only. Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa offers business services and conference rooms. The hotel features a beach, a cabernet vineyard, an outdoor pool and infinity edge dipping pools surrounded by private cabanas. The hotel's spa offers European style treatments, salon facilities, a fitness center and a movement studio. The 55,000 square foot casino features slot machines, video poker, gaming tables and a sports book. Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa also contains a 10 screen movie theater, a 3,000 seat amphitheater and stage, a shopping area and a video arcade.
Guestrooms. Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa offers 490 guestrooms with Mediterranean style décor. Rooms contain Frette linens and down comforters. Bathrooms offer soaking tubs, separate showers and bathrobes. High speed and wireless Internet access and in room safes are available for a fee.
