Keeneland Race Course on Thursday released the stakes schedule for its 2012 spring meet with very little change from tradition, with the Grade 1, $750,000 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes serving as the highlight of a 15-day meet at the Lexington, Ky., track.

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla.- Animal Kingdom used an allowance race on the turf at Gulfstream Park last winter as a stepping-stone to his victory in the 2011 Kentucky Derby and trainer Graham Motion has selected a higher-level optional claiming/allowance race over the grass here Saturday as his one and only prep for an even bigger payday six weeks down the road in the $10 million Dubai World Cup.

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – There are two sons of Kitten’s Joy amongst the eight 3-year-olds entered in Saturday’s $100,000 Kitten’s Joy Stakes at Gulfstream Park. But it is an offspring of another prolific turf sire, Cozzene, who may prove the one to beat in the 1 1/16-mile race formerly known as the Hallandale Beach.
