Created in 1986, Nad Al Sheba Racecourse is located only ten minutes from the city center of Dubai. The track is 2,254 meters (about 1.375 miles). The track was resurfaced in 1997.

There are three chutes, a 2,000 meter chute which is for the Dubai World Cup. A 1,600 an 1,200 meter straight chute. From the 2,000 metre chute, horses in the Dubai World Cup will race around two gradual left hand turns before entering the 600 metre (0.375 mile) finishing straight.
