The gaming venue includes a 40-room hotel, with all rooms being 100% smoke free, free wireless internet, casino bar, restaurant, sports bar & grill with dance floor, entertainment, bowling lanes, and pool table; special event facilities, RV Park, and indoor pool with whirlpool and a sauna.
The casino's 17,000 square feet of gaming space features about 340 slots including video poker, video reel, progressives, and a wide range of denominations. You'll also find eight gaming tables (depending on demand) which feature blackjack, pitch, roulette, craps and Let it Ride.
Ojibwa Baraga Casino is located on reservation land in Baraga County and is owned and operated by the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community (KBIC).The tribe also operates the Ojibwa Casino Marquette in Chocolay Township, Marquette County. The two casinos are about an hour and a half drive from the other.
The KBIC recently approved a ballot proposal to spend up to $40 million on new casino development projects at both locations. Baraga's $6.5 million revision includes,“the construction of a new gaming facility added onto the existing facility. Renovations of current spaces would provide additional gaming areas for slots and table games and non-public space for staff and public access to the existing hotel, restaurant, and Pressbox Lanes and Lounge," according to the report.
