NEWS: Casino Landmark, Macau’s last remaining satellite casino, shut its doors at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, bringing a three-year transition period to a close and ending a decades-long chapter in the city’s gaming history.
Housed within the New Orient Landmark Hotel on the Macau peninsula, Casino Landmark had been among the most profitable satellite casinos in the market and operated under the gaming license of SJM Holdings. The gaming venue had retained the decor from its time as Pharaoh’s Palace Casino, despite a change of ownership and branding in 2018.
The shutdown followed the expiration of the government-mandated three-year grace period for satellite casinos on Wednesday, the 31st of December. Casino Landmark was the final satellite venue still operating after regulatory reforms significantly reshaped Macau’s casino industry.
Pharaoh's Palace Casino is situated in the two-tower 439-room and suite New Orient Landmark Hotel on Macau peninsula. Amenities include a Jacuzzi and an indoor heated pool located on the fifth-floor Recreation Area that is open year-round, sauna & steam room, gym, shopping mall, business center, meeting & event space, four restaurants offering a mix of Western and Eastern dining, a casual eatery and a bakery and two bars.
While the VIP rooms at Landmark Hotel opened in 1999, Pharaoh's Palace Casino opened in January 2003. It is a 34,000 square foot casino spanning three floors. It features over 50 slots, and 65 table games. Live dealer baccarat play is mainly featured.

Spread over three levels, Casino Landmark has a variety of table games including Baccarat, 3 Card Baccarat, Commission Free Baccarat, Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Roulette and Sic Bo.
