Mirage Casino

The Mirage Casino can be summed up in one word—Attractions. It’s located on the North end of the Las Vegas Strip and the Mirage is home to some of the most desired attractions in Las Vegas, Nevada. When it was built, the Mirage Casino set a standard in Las Vegas casino openings. The Mirage’s tab ran $650 million. While that might seem like a lot and it was at the time, it’s not much compared to today’s standards. Recently a “locals” casino was opened in Las Vegas that cost $950 million. The Mirage Casino has always been about quality and a relaxed experience. From the dolphins and tigers to the volcano show and the rainforest, the Mirage is one special place. The Mirage is also a place, perhaps unexpected, to bring the kids.

White Tiger Habitat

The White Tiger Habitat is a locals and tourist / gamblers favorite. These White Tigers, part of Siegfried & Roy’s effort to preserve rare animals, have white fur with black lines and ice blue eyes. They live in an open-air environment and now you can visit them. The habitat features a pool and other amenities for the Tigers as well as slanted glass to give visitors a better viewing perspective.

The Mirage Volcano

Looking for something entertaining to do in Las Vegas that’s free? Look no further than the Volcano show at the Mirage. It’s conducted outside and is free to all—just stroll on up between 7pm and midnight. During those hours, the show goes off hourly at the top of the hour. During the show, smoke and fire spew 100 feet into the air. It’s quite a sight.

The Mirage Tropical Rainforest

Another free attraction at the Mirage is the Tropical Rainforest. It’s right by the front entrance. The Tropical Rainforest is housed in a dome that’s 100 feet high. There are lagoons, palm trees and even cascading waterfalls. Not everything that’s fun to do in Las Vegas costs money. Make sure you stop by the Mirage Casino to experience these attractions.
