player and fortunate enough to be touring Far East Asia
, you may find yourself having the time of your life. At least the time of your poker playing life, we hope. If your poker tour of Far East Asia lasts long enough and moves all the way to the far Far East, you may find yourself on the doorstep of Hong Kong
. Hong Kong is a country rich in history and scenery, but for the individual with poker on the brain the search may be long and arduous indeed. Poker players in Hong Kong may have to look high and low in order to fulfill the urge to play poker. Not that Hong Kong is not a gambling destination, because it is. There are two gambling facilities in Hong Kong. The Happy Valley Racecourse

and the Sha Tin Racecourse
in Sha Tin
, but they are both pari-mutuel facilities
or Horse Race Tracks
and offer no poker rooms or poker tables to their gambling visitors.
Not to be discouraged fellow poker players. There may be a poker game in Hong Kong yet. This is yet to be established. Perhaps you are willing to play in a small card house, poker house or home poker game. The Home Games Forum
may help you locate such a game. If you don't find a game suitable to your needs in your area you can post a request or help start a poker game of your own. This does not mean that poker is legal in Hong Kong, at least outside of a casino. It is your responsibility as a poker player to make yourself aware of the potential dangers of gambling outside of a casino.
