  We stayed at the Valadier in late May. It was very nice. The first room we received was on the street side w/noise at night, as well as noisy neighbors in adjoining room; we were amazed how clearly we could hear the other couple, room is not sound proof. We asked for a transfer, which was granted immediately, they moved us while we were out (we had not quite unpacked yet). The rooms are small, but I believe that is normal for the area. My husband and I explored the area on foot, we easily walked to all the major sites. the food at the restaurant downstairs was good. The breakfast buffet was great, service was wonderful, as much cappacuino as you want. There are great places to eat all around that area. It was a great trip, good accomodations, wonderful staff, great food and wine, lots of history. We will return to Rome.
