Not fancy, but has everything you need including hair dryer, iron/ironing board. Very comfortable bed. Immaculately clean room/bathroom. Adequate continental breakfast. Very nice staff! Good value/good place to stay in transit - not so much for destination travel-no pool etc.

First of all, let me say that this Hotel had THE most comfortable bed in the world!! The hotel is old, but refurbished, so the rooms are small, but adequate for an overnight on the road. My first glich at the hotel was when I asked (as I was checking in) for a receipt of what was charged to my credit card. I was told that giving that information was against policy since the room had been booked and paid prior to arrival! I told the lady that this was charged to my personal card and that I had made the reservation myself. The answer was no. No receipt. Glich number 2 - I had work to complete for my graduate class, which is why I was staying in town in the first place. I booked the room because they advertised wireless in the rooms. My computer would not get a signal, no matter what I tried. The Lady at the front desk said sometimes it works, sometimes not. So my homework was not completed. I won't go back, even though America's Best Value had the cheaper prices in Beckley.
