I got the room on the travel agency and did not realize I had booked a smoking room. I immediately called the hotel and they were booked because of State Fair and could not switch rooms, they did take my name and told me they would switch me if possible. We got there and they did get us a non-smoking room! I really appreciated that! They had just remodeled the hotel so the room was very clean and service was excellent. The bathroom was good sized for a hotel room. The pool area was clean and you could step outside and still watch the kids in the pool. There is a Mexican restaurant in the hotel that is wonderful. The continental breakfast was ok, good enough to fill up on. The air conditioner in the room worked well, it was cool in the room at night. We had no complaints. They go above and beyond to make travelers welcome.

According to what was advertised on travel online and also the websight for this hotel, we expected a suite and got a room. That wasnt what we reserved or paid for. We stayed 5 nights and there were times we needed to stay in the room, there wasn't much room to sit. We also had weather related issues and did not know where we were supposed to go for shelter. We would have thought that there would have been something posted on the emergency listing on the door in our room or that staff would have told us where we could have taken shelter, as there were tornado watches and also warnings throughout the area. The cleanliness of the bathroom was to be desired, toilet seat very loose, small tub-shower, extremely stained shower curtian. Although we had a non smoking room, other guests were able to smoke in the hall and this smell permeated underneath the door into our room, hated to walk down the hall just from the risidual smell

The staff at this motel was great. They not only were accommodating but they also made the stay comfortable for me. I was there for 4 days and received excellent service. They recently renovated the motel and it looks great. The rooms were worth more I think. I would recommend this hotel to all business travelers.
