This was the 4th ABVI we stayed in on a 4 day cross country road trip and by far the most disappointing. The front desk was friendly enough and the room was actually clean. Unfortunately the room was very small and all facilities were extremely dated. The doors, which open to the outside did not even have peepholes. Since we arrived exhausted and very late in the evening, we stayed. The location is not in a particularly good part of town and not close to any chain restuarant or shopping. The back end of the hotel houses a few families on a weekly or monthly rate and the ice machine is located in a dark, musty corner of the hotel. During our stay there were some renovations being done, however as of this review there is much improvement and updating before I can recommend this hotel. The free breakfast from the restuarant next door is better than nothing, but really not worth being a deciding factor. Stay somewhere else.

We have stayed at this hotel several times while visiting family in the area. The low cost of the room, combined with nice decorations, comfortable beds and friendly staff make this a great value in the city of Holbrook. Also a great place to stay if you are visiting the local national parks in the area. I am a light sleeper and I sleep very soundly at this hotel. The breakfast is a little shy but then my husband and I are Denny's fans, so we find that is not a problem for us. We have stayed at several other hotels in the area and this is by far the best deal for your money in Holbrook. Flagstaff is only 90 miles away and the Petrified Forest is very close. EL RANCHO Mexican restaurant across the street is the best in town. The local Safeway has SEATTLE'S BEST COFFEE if you are a big coffee fan and looking for a better cup of java while in this small town.

We have stayed at this hotel several times while visiting family in the area. The low cost of the room, combined with nice decorations, comfortable beds and friendly staff make this a great value in the city of Holbrook.
