This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We were a group of 15 rooms staying here for the Iowa state softball tournament. All 15 rooms checked out after the second night even though we were booked for 3 nights. Most rooms checked out after the first night and the only reason some people stayed a second night was because there were no other hotels available. There were broken showers in several rooms, not working, the pool was closed, no breakfast (the cook did not show up), smoking rooms were given versus the booked non-smoking rooms, no connecting rooms as reserved 1 month in advance, no AC in the lobby area (broken), rooms dirty when we checked in (after 4pm) and we had to wait 2 hours for the rooms and terrible terrible service. On top of all the problems, there was loud music being played from the bar at 7:00pm with graphic profanity in the lyrics. When we asked the manager to turn it off, as there were several children around, we were told there was a party and this was a bar and he would not turn down the music we should just shut the door! When I contacted the owner, after checking out after the first night, I was given only a 10% discount!!! The hotel is very run down and it is obvious the owner does not put a dime into maintenance, staffing or general up-keep. The other employees are overwhelmed with all the problems they have to try and deal with. Terrible experience and I cannot believe Quality Inn would have their name associated with such a dump. here.

No elevator. Only 8 cars in the parking lot at 9PM, they said no 1st flr rooms are available. So we had to haul our suitcases up the stairs. The site has no elevator. It is an old Holiday Inn that shows its age. Needs work. Needs a broom. The grass on the property is overgrown. Place is scruffy. Sink dripped all night and toilet often had to be flushed twice to get contents down the drain. Last year one guest reported that they did not think it'd be in business. I am surprised it was now, a year later. Breakfast was kind of pitiful. Orange juice was orange colored water. I made myself a waffle. Could not find syrup, it was in a huge tub with no label on it. Cereal was there with milk ok. Also had croissants with scrambled egg & cheese inside in a heated tub. Because of negative reviews I asked the clerk if I could see the room before I checked in and she rolled her eyes and phoned the boss. She was an attitude case. Said she was new. I should have paid more attn to the other reviews and looked elsewhere, but not as many other motels showed up on the internet as there are there in town.

This is an old facility. Our first floor room had bugs. Went to a room on 2nd floor and it did too. Exterior door hallway door frame was damaged and didn't lock. A new curved shower curtain rod doesn't compensate for other major deficiencies.
