Beautiful 4 star air conditioned Victorian hotel situated in the heart of the city centre overlooking Cardiff Castle and the castle grounds. Adjacent to the Millennium Stadium with residential car parking. Full of character with marble foyer and stunning staircase with Waterford chandelier. All bedrooms offer an ensuite and are fully air conditioned. Past guests include Marlene Dietrich, the Beatles, Gregory Peck and more recently the South African Rugby Team.

While the hotel has a good location, it is just not a four star hotel. The sink was a stopped up, The room safe was broken, one of only two lifts worked, carpet on stairs worn thread bare, restaurant couldn't remember our order -- we have stayed in much better three star hotels throughout the UK. If you think you are getting a good deal on a four star hotel, you are really getting an average deal on a three star hotel, at best.
