I was recently unfortunate enough to stay at the Baymont in Davenport, Iowa. Upon walking in the lobby I and many other guests where left standing in the lobby at the front desk for almost 10 minutes. There was no one present. Phones ringing and guests wondering. Upon check in my room was supposed to be non-smoking. As I walked in the door I was smacked in the face with a heavey smell of smoke. The furnishing appeared to be salvaged from a junk yard somewhere and the bed was so worn, sacking and uncomfortable that only dogs should be sleeping on it. The carpet was filthy and dead bugs laying all ove the floor. I complained and was told this was the only non-smoking room available. I sleep 3 hours and left. I will never return to this hotel! If this hotel is representitive of the Baymont expectation then I say they are a sorry bunch of so and so's. I have stayed at motel 6's in my yuth that where better than this hotel. It is a run down dump!!!

We stayed here for one night. The room rate was excellent, and though the room was very clean, it needed some serious upgrading. The beds are very low and very hard. Don't expect any cushy mattress pads or fancy linens. The breakfast was your very basic motel breakfast. All in all, not bad if you just need a place to spend the night, but you get what you pay for.
