The room was clean and the beds were ok. This is defiantly not a more than a 2 or 3 star hotel. The breakfast was ok but the breakfast room is to small. there were 4 families there and if felt like i was eating in a phone booth.

Stayed in a double queen suite during my brothers operation at the Iowa City Hospital. Beds were great, except fot eh pull out, typical pull out couch comfort. Pool was clean and HEATED. Even this time of year a heated indoor pool is great. The breakfast was better than expected with make you own waffles, dougnuts, eggs, bacon, juice, milk bagels etc.. Evening dinner is just a soup I think, I am not a fan of soup so no real comment there.

When I arrived I was greeted with a sign that pool is out of service since December. I made my reservation in Jan and was not told of this and the web site still says that they have a pool. This was one of the reasons I picked this hotel because my family was coming to visit me while on my business trip. The staff was great and went above and beyond. The bathroom and some of the fixtures needed some repair. A towel rack kept falling off the wall. Quietest hotel I ever stayed in. The staff did not know the area well for shuttle service but was able to navigate them. Breakfast is ok but the BK within walking distance helped. Would stay again and could be a 4 star hotel with a little TLC. Beds were more comfortable then my own.

We rented this room for three nights during the week because one of us was having surgery at the University of Iowa hospital. It was a great place to stay and with the price we paid, we got a lot more than we thought! The service was wonderful, we took full advantage of their; computer/printer/fax machines for public use, their safety deposit boxes and the shuttle services to and from the hosptial. The rooms were really nice, we rented a room with two queen beds. The rooms were very clean, the only thing I didn't like was the bathroom had some parts of the wall that were very rough looking. But otherwise a very clean, nice place to stay. The breakfast was awesome! Every morning they had a new hot breakfast item, besides the waffle maker and a full spread of bagels, toast and donuts. This made it nice because since we were there three days we ate three different breakfasts; biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs, french toast. Then between the hours of 5-7 they had a light supper, like chili. This is definately a nice place to stay if you had to be in town for a few days. We weren't sure how long we would need to stay in Iowa City but we were prepared to stay for up to a week and this would have been the perfect place to be!

I went to Iowa on a whim to check out the University. I didn't really have any high expectations for the hotel, but I was thrilled to find out there was a free shuttle service to anywhere within five miles. They also had a hardy breakfast, free internet, and cable---which is a plus. Didn't visit the pool, but I used the 24 hour business center and it was great. Not too crowded, friendly staff, although the night crew is a little rough around the edges... (one guy was a little brisk when I called the front desk, but it didn't ruin my day or even the moment really.) For convenience factor, I'd stay there again. No questions.
