nice hotel.

Real "basic" hotel but it was clean. Pool and breakfast very small-no frills. Shuttle to park only once a day. One clerk on duty not very friendly or helpful but another assisted me with arranging taxi and shared his knowledge of area and options. Walking distance to some restaurants and stores but not on main strip. I wish I would have paid more and gotten something with better amenities. Again if looking for basic room to sleep in, it works.

This Baymont Inn is a very small hotel near the entrance of Universal Studios. Pros: Two queen size beds and a free breakfast. Location at entrance to Universal. Short drive to international drive and food/entertainment. Cons: The pool is unheated and therefor useless, the breakfast area is tiny, overcrowded, and what minimal food they have runs out frequently. Walls are thin and we were kept up until 3 AM by upstairs occupants. The front desk was helpful and tried to stop the thunderous pounding from the room above. Room was clean and maid service did a good job. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who has kids who want to use the pool, it is unheated and unusable. No spa. Room has 2 queens beds which is a plus, but there is no extra space for a trundle be or air mattress for a kid on the floor.

My family got bit by bugs in our room and bed...open condoms in the parking lot...dirty....they charged me twice for 1 night....felt very unsafe....lots of parties....overall GROSS...there are cheaper nicer hotels around DO NOT STAY THERE!!!

I must say - the room is clean and the maid staff is great. Don't get a room facing the bowling lanes! It's extremely loud. There is a lounge behind the hotel and people go outside to smoke. Everytime the door opens, the music is deafening- till about 2am. The area is empty of businesses (closed down) and iffy at night. The beds are comfortable, 2 queens. Room is well kept, bathroom needs major improvements. The bathtub faucet has a ziploc bag to stop the leaks and when you turn the tap on, the showerhead drips on your back. Fridge and microwave in good condition. Internet is free, but slow. You can use the one in the lobby for 2,95 a minute, and check the printer before you want to print tickets, as the ink is always almost empty. Good rate, clean, but we won't stay again. The noise (the bar and the airplanes - airport is REALLY close by) is off putting as is the lack of maintenance.
