I recently stayed at the Best Western Grant Park/Chicago for three nights. The hotel is in need of updating, particularly the bathrooms. I overheard several complaints about non-working coffee makers, light bulbs missing, lights not working, etc. In short, I wasn't in the room very much at all, but there were a couple of lights out in my room, as well. The water temperature is barely hot enough for a bath and the bathroom is very small. However, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have every slept on with a great comforter. The air temperature did not remain consistent and the fan cut off and on all night. Finally, there is a good deal of street and construction noise that you will hear almost continuously. I had a room on the top floor, and that did help. The room/hotel is fine for the money, especially if you do not stay in the room much. I highly recommend the restaurant Yolk, around the corner. Great for breakfast, brunch or lunch, but closes at 3pm. Also, can get a coffee while you wait---and wait you will---as there is always a line. Great food with a creative menu!

We arrived at the tail end of the Chicago snow storm, just having driven 20 hours from New Orleans. My daughter was coming to check out Columbia College for the Arts. While it was well situated for our needs, the front desk staff was incredibly rude. The parking was * a day and we had to pay a $* cash deposit, even though we booked on line. Also, the room smelled like smoke the entire time!! We kept asking why, since it was a non-smoking hotel, and there was no reasonable explanation. Both my daughter and I have asthma so this was not good. Price and location were great........actual accomodations, extra fees and staff weren't so great..............

I visited Best Western-Grant Park to attend the Taste of Chicago and I enjoyed my stay. The only gripe I would have is that there were a few ants in the room but other than that the staff was friendly, the room was clean and I had a great view of the Chicago skyline as well as Grant Park. If you are looking for reasonable rates this would be a great hotel.

The room (#910) was clean and adequate. Location was good. The bedside lamps were not working and the wi-fi was having trouble making it up to the 9th floor. It will cost you $* per night to pawk the caw (that is a little New England accent I threw in for you people thinking of staying in Chicago). By the way, does anyone know why a motel chain called Best Western is located in a non western state like Illinois??
