The springhouse was a great hotel. The rooms we rented through travelocity were small and no view, but we stayed longer and rented a room with a balcony and it was terrific. We could see the Vatican from our balcony and walked all over Rome from our location. The staff was exceptional! they looked up railway info on their computer and helped us with subway directions. They spoke english and were eager to help us in any way possible. Breakfast was included and delicious. Eggs, bacon, anything you could want. Served on small cafe tables with table cloths. When we came back from Venice we booked in again. They had stored our bags for three days while we were away. When I walked back into their lobby I looked at them and said it's good to be home. They were all smiles.

Hotel Springhouse is just down the road from the Vatican. Staff spoke good English and the breakfast was great. Small bar to have drinks in the afternoon w/appetizers. Staff recommended an Italian seafood restuarant that was fabulous. We had a room with a small balacony to enjoy the early mornings. This was a wonderful hotel, clean, safe, close to the Vatican. For the price you can't beat Hotel Springhouse. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was conveniently located. About 3 blocks from the Metro. Two blocks from the Vatican City Wall. Restaurants in the area were convenient and there were also grocery stores. The room was small (as we expected) and was clean. The staff answered all our questions in fluent English and were polite. The breakfast buffet was complete every morning. Internet access off the lobby. We would recommend it to others and would stay there again. DIane Franczyk- Bartlett, TN 38134

I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Rome. The staff was very friendly and helpful and English was easily understood. A subway stop (Cipro) was about four short blocks away and the buses ran on the main street about 100 feet from the hotel door. The Vatican Museum is about 200 yards from the hotel and makes an easy point to find when you are trying to return to the hotel. The included breakfast was a very big plus. There are grocery stores in very close proximity to the hotel. Small eateries and stands populate the neighborhood. We often returned to the hotel in the late evening and felt secure in the area. The room had a small refrigerator. The hotel also povides an Iternet connection which we gladly used to keep in touch with family back in the States. There is a sign on the main street that points the way to the hotel, but the hotel can be easily overlooked when searching for it for the first time.
