My husband and I stay here everytime we come to Bradenton/Sarasota. We have stayed in several nice hotels, Comfort Inn and suites, Holiday inn and suites, etc. . . This best western isnt like the other best western hotels.... Cheap furniture, smelly sheets and room, small T.V.s you can barely see. . . They decorate nicely, they are extremely clean! Customer service is GREAT! Nice telvision. . . LCD in the room.... nice breakfast, Its located behind a Cracker Barrel so If you want breakfast in the morning you can walk right over and there is a Carrabbas across the street. . . Its nice for a family Vacation or for someone here on business looking for the most for there money... They have WiFi in the room. . . Its very easy to conect to and a computer down stairs... Work out area.... The pool is somewhat small but very clean. All in All We would recomend this hotel anytime!

Imagine you're a frequent business traveler who lives healthily, not smoking, seldom drinking, eating vegan and almost never getting sick. Imagine, then, the irritation when, four hours into a four-day trip, you come down with what feels like an epic hangover - nausea, pounding head, dizziness and all. That was my situation when, at 1.30 on a Monday, I made it an early day and headed to the Best Western Manatee. ""Atria prototype"" or not, I was expecting something down-at-the-heels but was just praying that they let me check in early. The day manager couldn't have been more gracious, not even mentioning that it was before check-in. The room was basic Best Western configuration, with those annoying connecting doors, but the fixtures and wall art had been updated and were very attractive. Of more importance to me at that moment, the bed was marvelous - not too soft but super cozy, with the mattress literally a foot thick and four pillows of varying firmnesses on each bed. Aside from the occasional service cart, there was absolutely no noise anywhere. The air conditioner wasn't overly aggressive but it did keep the room comfortable. This would be a great place for a family vacation - behind one of those famous roadside country-themed restaurants, a block from the supermarket and pharmacy, convenient to the historic downtown area, the business district and the highway but set back far enough from the road to feel serene. The pool area, like the rest of the hotel, was meticulously clean but since the hotel is only a 3-mile straight shot from the beach, it hardly mattered. One caveat - they have the Cartoon Channel but no Nick, so bring videos if you bring the kids.
