Booked a 3-star hotel and even called ahead to tell them I would have a late arrival. When I wnet to check in, I was told there was no room for me. They had booked me at another hotel. When I went there it was a 1-star at best. Needless to say, I didn't stay there. Spent the next two hours looking for a new hotel, as all surrounding hotels were sold out. Had to pay for two hotels, of which neither were a 3-star or treated me that way. Slept on a sleeper sofa, as that is all that was available. Very dissappointed in this service!

I went to New Orleans for Spring Break and to interview for teach for America. I like the hotel location as it was off canal street and thus convenient to everything including the St Charles streetcar line. The beds were a little small but very comfortable. The room was nice and clean. The deluxe breakfast was not deluxe and directv was not the cable as listed online or the award hanging on the wall suggested. Also went to Morton's Steakhouse and that was a major disappointment. But overall the cleanliness and location I would stay there again. This was my second trip the first being Spring Break 09 and we stayed at Best Western on Rampart which we loved, the staff was super friendly, the bartender very freindly and helpful, and the breakfast great, or so the kids said.

Overall I don't have any negatives. The location is great. The staff was response to all of our needs. I am satisfied with everything. I have one issue, but it proved to be minor. the issue was that my vehicle was retrieved from the parking by mistake and I just so happened to see it partked in front of the hotel on the street. When I questioned the reason for it being there, I was informed that it was mistakenly taken from it's parking by valet.

Stayed at this hotel October 9 & 10, 2010. The hotel is close to everything. Just a couple blocks away from Bourbon street and a few blocks from the French Quarter. The hotel is just ok. The beds are the worst beds I have ever slept in. The rooms are small but that's ok your only in there to sleep. They only give you 2 pillows to a bed. When we asked for more they didn't have any?????? The drain on the tub wouldn't shut to take advantage of the jacuzzi tub. The breakfast is ok for a continental. The hotel is a little dirty. Doesn't look as if they ever clean the elevators. No parking unless you find something on the street or do the valet parking for $* a night. Would not probably stay here again due to the horrible beds!!

We stayed at the St. Christopher Best Western in July 2010. We loved the look of the room, and the outside wall of the room was open brickwork, seemingly original to the building, which was at one time the tallest in New Orleans. Great history! The room was clean, the staff was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay. There was a mixup in registration in the number of days we had reserved, but they fixed it quickly when I called to double-check the week before. The bed was even comfortable. There was a great continental breakfast each morning. The valet parking was extremely convenient and our car was brought around very quickly when needed. The desk clerks were helpful and courteous and I couldn't find anything to complain about their service. Security was great. More than once we came in rather late and were required to use our room key cards just to get in the lobby. Just be prepared for the possibility that you won't have a great view. Some of the rooms have windows directly facing the brick building next door, so all we could see was a brick wall and a drainage grate. BUT....I didn't think to request anything different, so that part was my own fault. Oh, and there are only about 3 car lengths of available parking space in front of the hotel, so it took about 12 times (or about 45 minutes) or driving around the surrounding streets before a space opened up for us to park and check in.
