  Our stay at the Country Inns and Suites, Decorah, Iowa Last week was very enjoyable. Someone had been smoking in the non smoking room we were assigned and when we told them they moved us immediately. The breakfast was more then we expected. The front desk was friendly and the experience was one we will repeat.

  Check in went quickly and employee was friendly and polite. Room very clean and nothing missing, really apreciated the call from the front desk asking if room was satisfactory and if we needed anything Did have to ask for directions to Walmart later that evening, was not given the correct directions but did find on our own. Swimming pool to cool, even kids were saying it was to cold. Hot Tub was perfect temperature but a bit warm for others, could be turned down a few degrees Nice that the pool and hot tub has extended hours for adults, it stays open unti 12:00 Being on the first floor at the end we did have alot of noise from the entry door from 12:00 unti about 2:00, not sure if ti was smokers going in and out about every 14 minutes but never heard talking just the window rattling every time the door closed Compressor on the heater was quite noisy when it kicked in, did mention to front desk at check desk, she stated they will have maintanence look at but as for the door noise, just apoligized. They need to put some kind of seal to help the banging noise when the door closes. As for the window rattling, not sure how to resolve that issue. Breakfast was fabulous and attendant kept the eating area clean and well stocked. Love the additional apples, strawberries and whipped cream to top the waffles. Would consider staying here again and also recommend to others
