Enjoyed the room although if you are tall watch your head. The ceilings have been dropped in random places. The breakfast in the Cloud Club was very good. The only thing we had an issue with was the $* charge for the two bottles of water, tea bags, and coffee. In this hotel you have to pay for what is usually complimentary if you use it or not. Oh and the queen is a full size.....

We were in Baltimore to go to Johns Hopkins. Should have been aware of, but wasn't, that I'd have to pay another $* per night to park my car, plus there was a surcharge so the money I saved was eaten up by the added charges that we were not made aware of. The hotel room was cold couldn't get the heat up past 72 degrees. The location was great. The accommodations were good. Bathroom was small. Staff was very helpful at check in and check out.

When we arrived, they "upgraded" us to a sister hotel because they had apparently overbooked the hotel, even though my reservation was fully paid in advance and we arrived two hours before the check-in time. The upgrade was not an upgrade for us since we were going to a baseball game and the other hotel was farther from the stadium. They didn't care.

Booked August 13-16 We checked-in at 2:30, we were brought to the the 1105. The room had a queen-sized bed, but was right across from the elevator. We were able to hear the bellman getting into the elevator and knew it would be loud. When I went to change the room, they said nothing was available til 4:00. At that time, we came back and were moved to 1104. A corner. When you opened the door, you fell onto the bed (full-size, not queen). There is a creepy narrow hall with a closet at the end of the dark hallway. Again, not acceptable. Andrea the manager then upgraded me to a suite in 509. We moved down there. I'm 5'11. The ceilings are maybe 7' tall. The suite had a full, not queen bed as advertised. The walls were all scuffed. The shower had a drop ceiling that I was about 3" to tall to get under. The shower head was at my neck. There a no bathrobes as described, nor Gilchrest and Soames toiletries. Some weird "green comapny" that has a soap with a giant hole in it. The dining room has a basic wood round table and chairs, a refrigerator that keeps drinks warm and wobbles, moulding on the counter that catches you if you stand too close and rips away. The couch is not pullout as described. The lamp has 2 outlets in it. Well, 1. The second is just a hole because the prongs have been ripped out of it. The a/c turns off because it needs to sense you are in the room. I guess you have to waive your arms while you sleep to keep it on. The view is of a brick wall and parking garage. We checked out August 14.

My son and I stay in this hotel whenever he has an appointment at Hopkins and have NEVER had a bad experience. There are special rates for Hopkins patients as well as a shuttle with great drivers. Breakfast features a good variety of foods and the hotel is within easy walking distance to Harbor Place where their are numerous restaurants. The staff has always been helpful. Valet parking is pricey but there is a garage across the street that is very reasonably priced.
