This is an older, plain hotel. The room walls were like painted cinderblocks. But it's clean and affordable. The "breakfast" is sparse - bagels, english muffins, cream cheese, some apples and bananas. The pool is small and unheated (way too cold to swim when we visited in late Sept though it was 80+ degrees outside). There is no internet available at all, which for me was the greatest downside. The travelodge just up the road has a sign that says it has free wifi, and I think their price is about the same. We initially thought the hot water was out because it took literally about 5 minutes for it to turn hot. The room did have a fridge, which was nice. If you want to be near downtown Walla Walla (main street) or Whitman College, the location is fantastic - you're about 2 blocks from either one. We were there for a Whitman reunion and in retrospect didn't even need the rental car. There is a grocery store, a sub shop, and a barber shop within a block of the hotel. It's not fancy, but it works. I think this is a 2-star hotel, and I'd agree with that rating. I would stay here again, though I might try somewhere else if I could get a room with internet at the same price.

Awesome hotel for the price; so the continental breakfast didn't have hot food but for the price of the room I must say I'm surprised they offered that. That was awesome and the place was clean and offered other amenities too. Great place to stay.

The Walla Walla Vineyard Inn should be condemned and demolished. The lower floor has been abandoned due to "water problems." The upper floor rooms are in very poor shape. Outlets didn't work, lights broken, carpets dirty, management unqualified. Do not stay here. The price may sound good, but there is a reason that it is so cheap. How it got a two star rating is beyond me. Continental breakfast was half a dry bagel and watered-down coffee.
