I would not recommend this hotel.
10/09/2010No internet connection- when i called to their tech support #, whom told me i had to work with the front desk to get information about the hotel that they didn' ...
No internet connection- when I called to their tech support #, whom told me I had to work with the front desk to get information about the hotel that they didn't have (seriously..?) before they would help us- and thats after they asked how we got "this number" (again- seriously? It's in the hotel room info book as the contact # for problems connecting...). When they "corrected" the internet problem by the next morning, the signal was so weak we couldn't connect more than 5 seconds (literally) wireless or hardlined so it was basically useless. The sheets had holes in them & orange stains on them. The fridge in the room was very noisy. On top of that, we were called by the front desk our first evening (after we had gone to bed for the night) & had to get redressed because maintenence was coming up to our room to make sure we were not flooding water from our bathroom to the room below (which we were not)- no apologies for making us get up, and no sorry for the inconvienence after- just told to be ready because they were on their way up. After our first night we decided not to stay here any longer.

We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. We expected more of a hotel/motel type of place but the common area and room decor were pretty up to date! All areas were clean and the staff was nice. We were very happy with the size of the room, and again, how clean it was. We stayed 2 nights, heard very little noise from neighboring rooms and hallways. Breakfast was nothing special; typical of this type of hotel. Proximity to shopping was excellent...just a few minutes from Kittery. Only complaint - hard to control heater in the room but, it was unseasonably cold while we were there and that could be part of the problem. We will go there again, great value for the price.

10/08/2008Customer service was great, the room i stayed in was just redone and everything was new, decent continental breakfast, easy location. i'd definitely go back.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with this Hotel.It appears to be having great renovations done because our room was lovely(everything new) However the restaurant was closed but they did have a continental breakfast which was excellent. The staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. It was very quiet and very close to Kittery and the Fox Run Mall and downtown Portsmouth( which we loved)Would highly recommend this Hotel

Stayed here for one night to be closer to an event. Small rooms that are in desperate need of renovation. I think they took the curtains down and used them as a bedspread. The sheets felt like sandpaper. The beds were lumpy and the pillows were flat. The bathroom had dead and/or dying bugs in them. I didn't use the pool but passed by it and wouldn't have gone in if I wanted to. I even heard some young kids (not known to me) remark about they thought it looked dirty! I forgot my toothbrush so I went to get one from the front desk and, had it not been wrapped in plastic, I would have sworn it was used. The room was very stuffy when I walked in but the windows do not open at all (even a couple inches) so I couldn't let in fresh air. I will not be going back here!
