  Absolutely could not be in a more convenient location. RER-B and RER-C, plus the metro are literally steps from the door, and both Ile de la Cite and Blvd St Germain are within 2 blocks. Jardin de Luxembourg just up the street and perfect for a picnic lunch. Lovely, bustling area of town. I was traveling alone but felt completely safe in the hotel/area. The Latin Quarter stays up late, but I had no trouble with street noise even though my room faced directly onto Blvd St Michel. I was initially afraid of the Best Western name, having been disappointed in their US properties, but this is a great hotel, recently renovated. My room was top-notch - great mattress, pillows, linens, etc. Marble countertops in bathroom, plenty of room. World's teeniest, phone booth-sized elevator was entertaining. Free Wi-Fi, and access to computer/printer in tiny lobby area. Breakfast available, but why pay a whopping 15 Euros for hotel breakfast when the cafes of Paris are out there waiting for you? Will stay here again. Tres bien!

  The hotel could not be located any better! The metro & RER (B) are located within 100 ft. of the front door. Walk around the corner to the left and you will find so many restaurants (Greek, French, Italian) you will be able to eat at a different one every day of your stay - affordably! There is also a very small grocery in the same area as the restaurants. Right across the street is an ATM and the St. Michel fountain. Walk out the doors to the right, is the metro/RER, then the Seine, with beautiful views of Notre Dame, which is an easy 5 minute walk. Having RER B line right there, means you can take it to/from either airport (Orly or Charles de Gaulle), much cheaper than the taxis, and probably faster too.
