On a quiet side street, 10-15 min. walk to the Seine, Notre Dame. Lots of shops and cafes close by. There are 2 metro stations within l blk. Grocery store across the street. This is a budget hotel, Nothing fancy, small room but clean and comfortable bed with good linens and a great shower too. Complimentery Tea and coffee with tea biscuits. Very helpful staff, some speak fluent English. They even opened our wine we bought across the street, which is cheap, and gave us wine glasses to use. Would definitely stay again. Tip: If its your first trip to Paris, get the Grey Line open air bus and botabus 2-day pass. We had it for our first 2 days and it was the best thing to orient ourselves to the city and sights.

This hotel was a savior after a horrible encounter with the Aux 3 Portes. Which should be called the Aux-ful Portes. The staff was very helpful at midnight when we escaped the flea-barn around the corner. The room which they bill as a quad, was actually big enough for a family of 4, which in Europe is an anomoly. I would recommend this to families, business travelers (free WIFI) and couples not wanting to spend a fortune on hotels but be close enough to the metro to get around.
