Now this was something i was not expecting. this place knocked my socks off. The staff was very nice and friendly and strived to be as helpful as they could be. The breakfast was awsome. The rooms were nice and spacious. And it was quiet. What more can i say. This is a great place and i will definately be back. I recommend it to anyone coming to the Kirkland area.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay at the Carlton Inn. We originally were going to stay just three days; however, the staff won us over and we decided to extend our stay. We want to especially acknowledge the staff who ensured we had a delightful stay by seeing after our many questions and needs. They greeted us each day with a warm hello. It is such a pleasure to feel genuinely welcome in a hotel. If we are in need of hotel accommodations in the future in Kirkland, we will be sure to stay at the Carlton.

Not a 3-Star hotel

Lucky me, Microsoft had all rooms in area booked up, so I had to try this hotel out. I have stayed at alot of "off brand" 3 star hotels, this is not one. The most important thing is bed comfort. These beds are from Japan, low on the ground and old mattresses, not comfortable. What these places dont understand is the fact you cant slap a coat of paint on walls, stick fancy chairs in a room, and call it 3-star. I will survive, but also since Microsoft booked all hotel rooms in area, this room price was also jacked way above price on what this should be. I would guess those that gave this place thumbs up dont travel like I do, and I can assure this is not 3 star.....

This is a beautiful hotel which happens to be on the shores of totem lake that has a bird sanctuary. I walked in and was greeted by the gentleman at the front desk with a genuine smile and some fun small talk. As a business woman on the move I'm always looking for a quiet place to stay so I can get my final reports and so forth for the day completed. That is exactly what I found here. Room was very comfortable, clean, and the free wi-fi did the trick for me. They even called with minutes of me being in my room to see if everything was ok, how courteous! I would stay here again if I have business in the area again, it has a great atmosphere to wind down from any long day.

I would strongly recommend this hotel for any type of person-- whether you are with your family or traveling for business, you will be pleased! The staff was very gracious and helpful. My only concern about the property is that it's hard to see from the street.
