I had the pleasure of dining at the Makana Terrace on December 13,2010. The view of the mountains, shoreline, and ocean are spectacular. The ambiance beautiful and comfortable. The food delicious and presentation beyond compare. The view, ambiance and food all to be expected from a five star resort. It was the people that made our lunch a ten star experience. The restaurant manager, ABCwas the most gracious host as well as the servers, XYZ and ABC. We were late for our reservations and yet they treated us with grace and respect; accommodating in every way. It is said,"People don't remember what you did for them, but they remember how you made them feel." I will always remember what ABC, XYZ did for us and how they uplifted our hearts. They had no idea we were coming from a service of remembering a dear friend. Thank you ABC

...i was there from 1/14-1/19/2010...the place is simply gorgeous both inside and out..the service is outstanding and the views wonderful....however, this is not a hotel for someone who does not have money to spend...its not cheap by any means..an average breakfast will run approx * for two, so one can imagine the price for dinner...the two restaurants are both great..if i had one knock, it would be that the grill room was closed monday and tuesday night...which leaves you with only one restaurant without having to leave the premises.....this may change as the season heightens, but i would call and check before i make my reservation if this is important to you......
