Our wedding was September 26,2009 and the services we received were amazing. The hotel event coordinators made sure everything was perfect and suited our needs. During planning any concerns we had they would answer any questions promptly. The evening of the wedding the serving staff and bartenders did an awesome job and should be commended for a job well done. This was a great experience and I would recommend that anyone definatly consider the Clarion for an important event. They take care of everything with constant communication.

I stayed at the Clarion in Winnipeg for the location. I usually stay at the Winnipeg Hilton Airport Suites but decided to try the Clarion to be closer to shopping. Room service is only available until 9pm. No in-room refridgerator. Internet is not wireless and very slow. The bed and pillows were soft foam. The desk chair was broken, the remote control batteries were dead and the alarm clock was broken too. And here's the best one --the deadbolt on the door was broken. Dark, dingy room. I was very unimpressed.

I booked this hotel on a recomendation to host a business meeting. The interent connection was not working in my room but I was still charged full price. They offered me use of the business center - a small room in a hall behind the main desk and told me the hotel was fully booked - sorry - nothing they could do (oh but there was wireless in the lobby if I wanted to sit out there to do the meeting) After saying I would check out and find another hotel they suddenly had a room with working internet for my meeting the next day. it Both rooms faced the pool and smelled so strongly of chlorine that I might as well have slept poolside. Plus the pool is open till late in the evening with full lights on and the wall facing the pool is fully windowed so you get the lights from the pool all day and till 11PM as well.
If you are a family and the kids want to swim the pool area looks great and the mall is across the street. This would probably be a great place to be. Otherwise I would go elsewhere. If you MUST stay here ask for a room that does NOT face the pool in the hope you will not breath chlorine the whole time you are there. -
Poor Check In Service

We tried to check in early (after calling first and told probably by 1:30/2 but when we got there we were told we were ""not a priority"". Our room wasn't ready until 3 which is normal check in. Found this disappointing since we witnessed everyone else who came to the counter early, was able to check in. Once in we found the place clean and we ended up enjoying ourselves. Not too sure if I would repeat the experience though. Front desk personal should also be taught how to smile and greet customers with a friendly attitude.
