Did not like being met at the front door with 5 people SMOKING. They should have a different area to do that at, NOT THE FRONT DOOR. Had to hold my breath till I got past the second entry door, it was that BAD with 5 smokers! Close to railroad tracks so heard the trains. Many places had holes in the walls. Walking to our room past by a room that had smokers smoking, could smell it. Breakfast area was NOT cleaned up from the bar the night before, Floor was VERY Dirty from liquid spills and beer bottle tops on the floor, saw three in just the area I was in. Will not recommend this place.

I recently stayed here for 10 days on some family business. I am used to hotels a little more upscale than this one, but I chose to save a few dollars. Overall, i was satisfied with the hotel, it was clean, the housekeeping staff were exceptional, and the breakfast buffet bountiful, if a bit mundane. On the downside, there is some noise from the frequent trains, but at least in my case it was never that bothersome. There isn't much going on in Greeley downtown at night, and most restaurants are more on the south or west side of town - an easy drive though. The hotel restaurant was mediocre, sad to say, very few patrons and merely adequate food. The hotel desk and restaurant staff were highly variable - some were helpful, others seemed to think a customer was sort of a nuisance. My room opened onto the pool/atrium, and it was impossible to get fresh air by opening a window due to the humidity and chlorine odor. I'd recommend a room on the west side, or at least not one adjoining the pool in the center. The bed was comfortable, the bath was clean and stocked with the basics. There was a refrigerator but no microwave in the room, I guess one has to request the latter. It was an acceptable 2 or 2 1/2 star place, but I'm not sure I'd choose it for anyone I was trying to impress.

Clarion Greeley
10/18/2010The staff was very inexperienced and didn't know how to do anything without the manager. i would not recommend this hotel.

Aparantly they have made upgrades. The staff is ok, the parking is good, the rooms are ok. They aren't pristine but they are pretty clean. I wouldn't stay at most chain hotels because you don't know what's living in the carpet etc, but this was pretty good. The problem is that there are train tracks literally right across the street and the trains blare their horns as they come by. The walls are so thin that it's barely quieter inside the room than outside. I have stayed here for a week and have had a very hard time getting rest. It's clean enough, but what good does that do?
