I really liked this Hotel being a female traveler I always look for a secure place. I used to stay downtown but I do not like the parking garage expecially at night. I like that I can get a room with enterior entrances and I am able to go to the restaurant without leaving the hotel. I really liked the pool late in the evening on weeknights I found it was quiet and perfect for doing laps. The fitness center could use some work. It is usable but not anything to rave about. I opted for swimming laps and a little while on the treadmill. The highspeed wireless worked great most of the time there were a few glitches but I later found out they were upgrading so I hope my next stay will be glitch free. Room service was pretty good had to call down in the morning because I put my door hanger out to late but it was delivered in 20 minutes or so and It was hot so that was fine. Overall This hotel met my needs, The rooms were nice and clean, the pool was great, The restaurant was good and most importantly I felt safe. I will utilize this hotel when in Modesto.

Ended up at the Red Lion because the Doubletree lost my reservation. What started as a business trip disaster turned into a pleasant surprise. An older building but well kept, the front desk was friendly, and the indoor pool is rather nice. Room service was good and the room was quiet. I'm staying there next time i'm through the area.

This hotel is a sports coaches dream. The indoor pool made it easy to entertain the kids, the arcade was wonerful. The hotel gave us a special menu for breakfast with prices as low as under $4.00 the food was good, the rooms were clean and they have a program tailored to sports teams and recognizing coaches, It was great. I will say that the indoor pool could use some soundproofing and if you are staying around the pool in one of the rooms in the inside area it was a little noisy when all of the kids were in there but there were at least 30-40 in the pool at one time so it has to be understood. There was music playing in the bar later in the evening some of the parents enjoyed that. The bar is a little dark for my taste but otherwise nice. Everyone seemed friendly. Kids had a great time and that is what mattered.

This hotel has definatly met its better days. I would have to say that this hotel is going in a positive direction.I had stayed here a few years ago and didnt care for the hotel much seemed like it was undergoing alot of changes and they were having a hard time keeping up.I was surprised to see the progress that was made. I was pleased with the changes in the rooms, The TV's are a huge plus for me. The staff seems more upbeat and positive. Im not sure the reason behind the changes at this hotel are but they are positive. I was there during a confrence week so it was a little busy and the restaurant got overwelmed a little but other than that I enjoyed my stay. I will return.

MyHusband and I took a weekend getaway and booked a Romance Package at the Hotel. Our room was decorated with chocolates and petals and was absolutely beautiful. We got breakfast room service in the morning and everything it was really a nice stay. We have recently moved to Modesto and are actually living with family members so to be able to do something so close to home was a real treat. We checked in and never had to leave the hotel. Dinnner was part of our package so it was a real nice experience. I reccomend this to any couple who need to get away for a day but cannot afford to or dont have the time to go far out of town. We got a room, dinner, breakfast and alone time and I dont think we spent $200.00 definatly worth the price. Clean nice rooms, close to home, easy parking. This was great.
