First my husband and I were given a room in which the key did not work. My husband went down to notify manager and came back up stating that we were going to another room because the manager didn't want us to have a problem with key more than once. That seemed to be fine until my husband went to get into the shower and the knob was completely broken off and we couldn't turn water on. We also noticed that the lamps had very poor wiring. He went downstairs again and returned with a third room key. This room also had problems with a lamp but since we were now in our third room and the other ones were working,we decided to ignore that. He took a shower and not long after that went to the vending machine on our floor(4th). It was completely out of order, so he went back downstairs to the one on the second level and it worked. We both found cigarette burns in the comforter when we climbed into bed. This was a non-smoking room. Later that night we were both woke up from a noise that we thought was the heater. We turned it down and went on to sleep. Early in the morning I woke up and looked out the window and saw the real culprit for all the noise we heard. It had rained into our room and was all over the heater and curtains!!!!!! We complained when we checked out but were told that nothing could be done since we booked through Travel Website. I would not stay here again if it was free. I have never had a hotel stay this bad. Do not go anywhere near this place!!!

Water dripping from the ceiling for 3 hours into room from next to the bed. Then plaster began falling from the ceiling. Called front desk immediately when it started and put a bucket to capture all the water. After an hour of wasting our time waiting for the repair person we called front desk again and was told he went to the room above us to repair - Uuugh why didn't they tell us. Got the run around when trying to ask for compensation for the inconvenience. Had a room by the elevator so heard every voice all night long in addition to the family in the next room who let their kids have a door slamming game until 11:30 pm. Saw the free breakfast and we passed - went elsewhere. Would not stay their again. This place lacks basic TLC!

Stayed at the Comfort inn Towson on Friday July 30, 2010. The best thing I can say about the hotel is it is close to Inner Harbor and has easy access to I695 and I83. We chose this hotel based on a 3 star rating from Travel Website, its pool and breakfast. They must have reviewed another hotel by mistake. We tried to use the pool. It was not open and the water was lime green. At 12:30 pm the desk clerk said they had some work to do and it would open at 1pm. It did not open that day at all. The hotel looks and feels very old and dirty. The toilet has caulking around the bottem that is pealing and rusty/black colored in spots. Behind the end tables the rug was dirty. The bed was comfortable but the mattress stained. Breakfast was a joke. The seating area was closed with a sign that said as much. They had a few things on the table Yohoo and boxed juice, but is was warm. Too scared to try the coffee. When we checked out we were not asked how our stay was. Maybe they made that mistake with the guests that checked out before us. Will not repeat visit this place.

Check in took almst 10 minutes due to the fact that the front desk agent did not speak english. Upon arrival to our room we were given 1 king bed and booked 2 queens. It took a while to communicate this to the same front desk clerk and when he did change the room it was smoking. Not what i asked for since i had 2 children with me and the hallway smelled like old food. So 3rd trip to the desk we finally got it right. Carpet was wet and smelled a little but since we could ot get out of our reservation we stuck it out for the 1 night. Pool was closed. Lounge didn't exsist, no printer @ business center, the man @ breakfast (did not speak english #41; did not replenish food to meet demands of crowd in breakfast room. The young lady @ checkout was very appoligetic and sweet!!
