We have stayed at this Hotel many times and look foward to our return trip next year. There are no PERFECT HOTELS! So once you overcome that attitude, the Continnetal Surf makes good sense for service, location, security, safety and very economical to want to return to paradise. If on the other hand you wish to visit your Hotel prehaps the high end properties is something to consider. If you are bringing children this Hotel may not be for you either. We are more than satisified with our hotel arrangements and the staff.

I have been to Waikiki a few times. This place is in a great location to EVERYTHING as far as foot travel. I had a clean room and towels everyday along with new soap and shampoo. #40Something you dont get every place else#41. If you travel alone or with a partner who desnt mind a small room. This is a GREAT PLACE. I will stay there again!!!!

If you're just looking for a place to leave your stuff...and bathe and sleep...this place works. If you have a car...parking is a minor hassle. You need to get a code to open a gate to park your car...if you're checking in...somewhat inconvenient. A couple blocks from the beach, shops and restaurants.

Great location. Just off Waikiki. Room was very small but clean. We just slept there and cleaned up. No room service. Had to pay $* each day to have coffee in room even though there was a coffee pot in the room but no place to plug it in. Had to move chair to get to plug. But you get what you pay for. Very clean, hot water on demand. If you are looking for economy, this is it. Would stay again.

I had a good view room on the 17th floor, which I appreciated. The room was small, but ok. Housekeeping Dept. needs to get consistency in their schedule for cleaning the rooms. Some days they were knocking on my door, while I was still in bed, so the next morning I would get up early, and leave the room. Many times I returned to the room at 2:00 or even 3:00pm and they had not yet been there, this was frustrating to me. { Different housekeeper.} My biggest complaint was the SLAMMING of doors, by other guest. The rooms have 'self closing' devices on them, and people seem to not know how to close the door behind them, they let the door slam. All evening and into the night I was awaken by slamming doors as other guest would come and go from their rooms, and every morning, EARLY, doors slamming would wake me up. Can these devices be removed, or loosen the tension on them to stop this SLAMMING? it was so annoying!! The staff were courteous and friendly.
