We stayed there for a week from July 13-18 2010 and were pleased. We chose this hotel because it is only 2 blocks from our sons house and we could walk there. The breakfast buffet was pretty good but the area was small and crowded. Rooms very nice and clean and comfortable- nice pool area and workout room. We would stay here again. Very friendly staff... we dont travel much and noticed a tip jar in the breakfast area- first time I ever saw that! When we stayed at another hotel the previous year in Hampton we did not see one... interesting! Not really anything else close to walk to tho.

Let me start by saying I got a good rate for my group for the weekend. The room was spacious enough and nice to have living space, fridge and microwave in a hotel room. Beds were comfy, though we did not try the pull out sofa. Now, the little things that made it not so great...... Breakfast was lacking. Eggs were powdered and aweful. No yogurt or fruit. Choices were cereal or waffles. Our fridge had not been wiped out between guests and we know this because food was found in our fridge when we checked in. Also found a shirt in the drawer. Remote missing a battery and lamp missing a lightbulb. Housekeeping should have caught all of these. Now this being said, all of these things were fixed within hours, but still, should not have happened to begin with. Pool and whirl pool were green. This was never fixed. I would not let my kid swim and neither would the rest of the group. I really look for the details and I think this hotel really missed out on these. Not sure if I would stay here again, mainly because of the pool
