The hotel itself was quite nice, though if your goal is to spend time soaking up the Florida Sun poolside, you'll be greatly disappointed. The pool is extremely small, and as many families stay at the suites, noisy and crowded at times. However, the Gulf Shore beaches in Madiera and other areas are only about 20 minutes away. And the property lies next to a pool supply store, and a well....never looked the other direction, which means that you'll have to drive a bit to find restaurants, though there is a Checkers across the highway. That said, the staff is very accommodating (though don't even think of checking in early) and helpful. The breakfast is pretty good, and varies from morning to morning. The room is reasonably spacious, and very clean. Oh yeah, one other drawback. We were on the third floor, and the hotel's only elevator was perhaps the slowest I've encountered. Once again, a small point. I'm not sure though, the Country Inn Suites would be worth the $* regular rate, but we were satisfied with the rate quoted by Travel agency, which was about * or * dollars less.

The interior is lovely however I did not come down to Florida to stay inside. The postage stamp size pool was certainly a disappointment. And the location of the hotel leaves much to be desired. The breakfast buffet was very well supplied and the front desk staff was very friendly. The beach was about a 25 minute drive and had to go shopping for beach equipment.... beach chairs and umbrellas were not something you could bring on an airplane.
