Did not disappoint!

My room didn't have all of the amenities, but had a king bed, sofa, HD TV with more free channels that I get at home in Maryland! The staff was helpful, friendly and, well, it was simply a great stay. I'd last stayed here about 7 years ago. At that time, I asked the concierge for the best steak house in Toronto and he suggested Carman's - called ahead and made a reservation for me. Carman's is maybe 30 paces from the hotel. Well, I saw that Carman's was still there but didn't seem to be open. I asked the current concierge about the situation and he informed me that Carman's had been closed for about 3 years, but that he could recommend an equally good steakhouse not far away! He called ahead and made a reservation for me. Well, he was right! It was the same great steak and service that I'd remembered from Carmans but this was at Barberian's at Elm and Yonge streets; started the same year as Carman's (1959) and, frankly, I would not have known that I was in a different restaurant! It was all fantastic! This is a great, steady hotel. It could have more amenities, but the quality of the staff and consistently clean, ample rooms and the proximity to everything makes this place a winner in my book.

I've been staying there 4 or 5 times a year for the past 6 years... never been disappointed... location is conveniently close to Yonge & College TTC station... staff is very courteous and helpful... clean... large... love their computer room... bar has a very soothing atmosphere... Just don't venture East at night as the hotel borders on a somewhat seedy part of Toronto... harmless during the day... although a bit pricy, valet parking is efficient and very practical... for the price and everything considered, an excellent choice...

The staff was excellent! Check in was easy. The room was clean and comfortable. They have free use of a washer and dryer. The front desk was very attentive and helpful. They have an on-staff tour guide to help you get around, if you need it. I was very satisfied with this hotel

The hotel was more than we expected. The staff was couteous and the check in process was prompt and clear. We had requested prior to our arrival for a fridge and microwave as the room did come with one and we were traveling witha toodler. As soon as we arrived in our room building services brought them up and connected them. Valet parking service was great as our car was waiting downstairs moments after we called down from our room. The hotel was very clean and security for our documents was good. Great stay and good location downtown as you are not to close to all the bustle and not to far either. We did not visit the pool or the gym since we were out and about all day. The breatfast buffet was very good.
