We were here for a family vacation and a business conference and we were extremely happy with this hotel. The location is close to the airport and many dining options. The Liberty Station area is a refurbished Naval base that now has restaurants, groceries and a huge waterfront park. My kids loved walking along the water to the Esplanade playground. The room itself was comfortable and very clean. My 5-year-old said that this hotel was his favorite one that he stayed in on his trip, even better than Disneyland. We didn't use the smallish pool, but for a busy visit to SD that included drives to Seaworld and the Zoo, this was a perfect spot for us.

My son and I spent spring break at this hotel. I really liked it and so did he. The rooms were modern and so were the fixtures. It is really close to the airport. My only recommendation is that they do need to get a conceige to help with activities and if you plan on seeing some of the sites....Seaworld, San Diego Zoo, etc. rent a car cause even though the hotel is close to these places its not exactly across the street. Taking a cab everywhere is pricey and public transportation is sparce......Last bit of info....have the breakfast buffet in the hotel to start your day....its really good food and not that expensive.
